Reimbursement

We have contracts with all health insurers in the Netherlands. The care with us will therefore be 100% reimbursed by your health insurer, regardless of which one you choose.

However, you must take into account that the costs for the treatment will be settled with your deductible (Eigen Risico)*. You pay a deductible if you are 18 years or older and use basic health care. The deductible is a mandatory amount to pay. In 2026, the deductible is € 385. So you pay the first € 385 yourself. Only after that will your health insurer pay the costs.

Before we can start treatment we need a referral and a referral letter by your GP and you ahve to sign up by filling out the contact-form.

Depending on the severity of the care demand, a treatment process is started in one of the processes below and afterwards it is claimed directly from the contracted health insurer with which you were insured at the start of the treatment.

The above amounts are based on the NZa rates, insurers pay a certain percentage (75% – 100%) of the NZa rate

Each of the above services comprises the entirety of activities and care, appropriate to the client profile.

The ‘OVP/Consult’ service (€ 125) is charged for care that is not included in the basic package of the Health Insurance Act. In any case, this includes:

  • psychological complaints without a DSM-identified disorder

  • “adaptation disorders”

  • “work and relationship problems”

the client will have to pay for the treatment himself, or possibly from an additional insurance policy. This amount cannot be claimed from the health insurer. Inquire about this with your health insurer before starting treatment. We will then send you an invoice that you must pay to us within 14 days.

Cancellation

You can reschedule appointments up to 48 hours in advance. Appointments scheduled for Monday must be cancelled the Friday before. To reschedule an appointment, you can call the practice (070 204 2006) and leave a message or email info@rajapsychologie.nl.

In the unfortunate event of not showing up to the appointment € 100 will be charged.
Note: The system will automatically put the appointment as a ‘no show’ and you will receive a separate invoice for the missed appointment that you cannot declare with your health insurer.

It was a big step for me to sign up with a psychologist because I didn’t think my problems were big enough. Ultimately, no matter how big your problems are, you can always come to this practice. Mr. Raja is a fine therapist who offers enough space to tell your story.

I am very satisfied with my treatment. The situation has been looked at very appropriately and based on that, it has been determined what is good and what is not. This has provided clear tools to make a quicker and better choice. This personally didn’t go well and an insight from someone else helps a lot in determining what is right and what is not. Ultimately, this benefited myself and I became more independent. My anxiety problems have become much less because of this and I have become stronger. I’m very happy with that too.

Some time ago I came to Emma through Shehzad with my daughter. Inaya, a girl of 7 years old, got very stuck. Anger at school, and we didn’t quite know where this came from. Emma was very supportive to both me and mother, and Inaya. I was always available for questions, and Inaya loved talking to her. Emma taught Inaya how to deal with her anger, and gave us great advice that also helped school.

Frequently Asked Questions

Treatment conversations with a psychologist offer you the opportunity to better see what you encounter and to discover how you can best deal with it. Your capacity for self-reflection is strengthened: what is wrong with me and what do I actually need?

There is a lot of variety in how we work together. Sometimes it is necessary, for example, to introduce a lot of structure in the sessions by sticking to fixed themes or exercises, and sometimes it is more appropriate to let go of the structure and the therapy mainly depends on your input. One is not necessarily better than the other. This depends on how you are put together, on the complaints you experience and on what you find important.

At our practice we are happy to help you to work on your goals!

In the case of mild or moderate psychological complaints, treatment at our practice is usually possible. For example: sadness, fears, negative self-image, low self-confidence and life questions. You are always welcome to contact us to discuss the possibilities and to gain more clarity about what you need to change and improve your life. We usually do not treat serious problems. This is because, for example, we do not have the possibility of recording and we do not have 24-hour availability or crisis service. We can therefore not provide the care that is actually needed. If you are unsure whether treatment is appropriate for our practice, please contact us for a consultation. You could also contact your doctor to look together for appropriate help.
Our practice has contracts with all health insurers in the Netherlands and we offer insured care that can be reimbursed under the basic insurance. When reimbursed under the basic insurance, you always pay your deductible first, which is € 385 per year as standard. You will also receive a bill for this from your insurer. To be eligible for reimbursed treatment consultations, we need a referral letter from your GP. This can also be sent digitally via Zorgdomein to Raja Psychologie in The Hague.
The rates for reimbursed treatment sessions can be found here. Treatment consultations on the basis of self-payment are also possible. The rate is then €90 per 60-minute session.
