For Who?
Accepting your life as it is is also a challenge;
perhaps the greatest one can face.
— Vaslav Nijinsky
Age is a number, not a limitation. Within our practice we specialize in helping you to get to know yourself better. We will teach you how to reconnect with yourself and to open up for the benefit of your own development, competencies and skills.
Always evolving
As humans, we are always evolving and we are always focused on how to improve ourselves and our environment. Our development begins in childhood and actually lasts throughout our lives. We all face challenges and difficulties and deal with them in our own way. This applies to everyone, but at the same time, all people develop differently. Often we do not feel heard or seen and we experience the feeling of a lack or an actual lack. Problems do not just appear out of the blue, but can be the result of a long struggle and sometimes even the result of difficulties with the people around us. It takes courage to be willing to look at yourself and take responsibility for your own life. Some of us are able to regain strength and find ways to deal with life on their own. Others can use a little help with this or just a push into the right direction.
We believe that the difficult moments in life often try to tell us something. Sometimes in the form of difficulties and challenges that we encounter. We see this as an opening that gives us the opportunity to change and improve our lives.
Looking at possibilities
Raja Psychologie believes in the possibilities, competencies and skills of people and in their future. An important part of how you form as human beings takes place in your early years. Life is asking a lot of you and the options you have are endless. At the same time, you do not know yet where you want to go or what your goals are. The world is at your feet, you have your whole life ahead of you, but it can be overwhelming and scary at the same time. We can’t tell you what you should or shouldn’t do. We believe that you know better yourself and that we as humans can learn from each other. Not by interfering with each other, but by listening and discussing how you can find and continue on the way to your future.
What we ask of you
We are a multicultural team and our clients have diverse cultural backgrounds. We respect diversity and value everyone, regardless of origin, age, gender, religion and life choice. That is also how we work and build a treatment path.
Working on change and improvement is a process in which we here at Raja Psychologie try to clarify how you think about things, how you feel and how you behave. Our mission at Raja Psychologie is to give you as an individual enough space so that you can take the steps that suit you, develop in your way and at your pace. We therefore choose to combine treatment conversations with other forms of therapy (such as Coaching, Movement Therapy, Mindfulness, Body-oriented Therapy or Art Therapy).
We are a multidisciplinary team. Our practitioners are specialized in a specific field and sometimes work closely together to investigate various issues or requests for help and provide solutions for you.
The advantage is that the team comes up with creative, valuable solutions from different perspectives to work on your goals.
The biggest challenge is that every therapist has a different way of thinking and their own working method. So what we ask of you is that you are open to new ideas, want to actively work on yourself for a change and remain curious about yourself and what life has to offer you.
To improve is to change
Working on change and improvement is a process in which we will try to clarify how you think about things, how you feel and how you behave. Knowing yourself means recognizing different parts of your identity, personality and being. In our practice we believe that it can be extremely supportive to gain new experiences and get to know yourself in a different environment. This can sometimes be uncomfortable but it can help you to get more in touch with yourself and your feelings.

Frequently Asked Questions
Treatment conversations with a psychologist offer you the opportunity to better see what you encounter and to discover how you can best deal with it. Your capacity for self-reflection is strengthened: what is wrong with me and what do I actually need?
There is a lot of variety in how we work together. Sometimes it is necessary, for example, to introduce a lot of structure in the sessions by sticking to fixed themes or exercises, and sometimes it is more appropriate to let go of the structure and the therapy mainly depends on your input. One is not necessarily better than the other. This depends on how you are put together, on the complaints you experience and on what you find important.
At our practice we are happy to help you to work on your goals!
